David Trout is CEO of SolutionsX, LLC, bringing over 25 years of experience in accounting, engineering, operations management, materials management, and inventory control. He is a business process expert who evaluates how an organization actually runs, builds a better way to run it, and gets the change implemented.
Before SolutionsX, David spent five years in materials management for an engineer-to-order and build-to-order manufacturer, responsible for planning both labor and materials and following each job through to final installation. Over the past 20 years he has implemented three different ERP packages across multiple environments.
David manages every side of the business: sales, marketing, consulting, development, and support. Years spent leading the consulting services team gave him a real feel for what manufacturers are up against, since he has done the work himself. He has deep knowledge of Infor CloudSuite Industrial (SyteLine) and other ERP platforms, and he has kept refining the deployment methodology SolutionsX uses on every project.
David also leads SolutionsX's Office of Innovation, focused on keeping the company's methodology and services ahead of where the market is headed. He speaks regularly at industry events on ERP strategy and operational transformation, sharing what actually works for manufacturers trying to compete and win.
David holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University. He has built value at every company he has worked with by solving real operational problems, including the change management problems that come with them. He believes in more than spotting opportunities for improvement. He builds the plan to capture them and drives it through to a financial result.
